Roadmap

Current Baseline

  • active supporting toolkit
  • Linux-safe CI smoke checks
  • Fabric manifest and metadata export
  • documented runtime, upgrade, and integration posture

Near-Term

  • keep docs and manifest aligned with checked-in scripts
  • keep Linux CI minimal and deterministic
  • add a lightweight docs-link smoke check if broken references become recurring

Mid-Term

  • keep Fabric-facing metadata aligned when capabilities or dependencies change
  • refine release/version signaling if this repository starts participating in update automation
  • tighten optional utility-script validation only if they become shared operator tooling

Later

  • evaluate whether a stronger compatibility contract is needed for helpifyr-update
  • evaluate whether versioning should evolve beyond git-commit-based identification

Explicitly Not On This Roadmap

  • creating a new service wrapper
  • inventing REST/MCP endpoints just for nicer documentation
  • moving live-host operations into default CI
