Current State

The historical sprint, stabilization, governance, RC2/RC3/RC4, and narrow GOV5-GOV8 continuation queues are complete. The durable baton is tracked in docs/AUTONOMOUS_STATE.md.

Current Active Direction

• no broad implementation phase is open at the moment
• the repository is in a post-GOV8 metadata, integration-proof, and standardization state
• only narrow directly approved continuations should be opened from here

Near-Term Focus Areas

• repo standardization and machine-readable metadata
• jhf-wire internal-loop proof and adjacent hardening when explicitly requested
• Fabric preparation without fabric integration rollout
• CI and packaging follow-up only as separate approved slices

Next Small Controllable Steps

• keep exposed surface inventory synchronized across manifest, API docs, and integration docs
• strengthen internal dependency semantics for future update automation
• reduce remaining documentation drift and language inconsistency
• only open the next continuation when explicitly approved
