Product Role​

Selvage prepares compliance and investigative research workflows around entities, documents, and evidence packages that need governed intake, enrichment, and review.

Current Target Architecture​

  • Application target: OpenAleph
  • Document system of record: jhf-loom on Alfresco CE
  • Search target lane: OpenSearch, still gated by compatibility verification

Current Public Posture​

  • This product is still documented as admission-preparation-only.
  • Historical Aleph plus Elasticsearch material remains part of the migration baseline and should not be read as the final target state.
  • OpenSearch is a target lane, not a completed compatibility claim.

Document Ownership Boundary​

  • Loom remains the final source of truth for governed stored documents and evidence dossiers.
  • Selvage should consume or reference that document truth through admitted APIs and contracts.
  • Public guidance should treat direct database coupling or direct search-index coupling between the two systems as out of bounds.
